What Is This Toy Called? Tiny Dolls With Long Hair That Clip Together.?

As a child, I used to have this toy, which were a series of tiny dolls that had really long hair, that you clipped together, then you could plait all their hair together and stuff. I know my description is pretty rubbish, but does anyone remember them and know what they are called? This has been on my mind for aggeesss. Thank you! x

Toy Fair Arrives At Birmingham’s Nec Arena

The Toy Collectors Fair provides the public with a unique chance to pick up some rare toys either for their collections or just to have fun with. A regular event that stops at conference centres throughout the country, it returns to Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre on May 4th 2008. Entrance is free for children under 16 and £5.50 for adults, and the event is open from 10.30am – 4pm. However, early entry is available for a fee of £20, which allows the most eager collectors to gain access to the event from 7.30am.

My 10-year-old sister has outgrown dolls, toys, etc. She’s a very mature, creative girl. We have plenty of art supplies and a piano, and she loves using that sort of thing. She also likes to learn and loves videogames/technology.

History of Toy Robots

Times have certainly changed – just look at what kids are playing with these days. While toy cars and dolls may still keep youngsters entertained, popular playthings of the new generation include video games, remote control toys, and toy robots.

The origin of toy robots can be traced back to the development of robots. One of the earliest robots was an automaton invented by Frenchman Jacques de Vaucanson in 1738. He made a self-automating mechanical duck that was able to eat and digest grain, flap its wings, and excrete. In Japan, Hisashige Tanaka created an assortment of extremely complex mechanical toys, some of which were capable of firing arrows, serving tea, or even painting a Japanese character.

Vintage Toys and Games – Still Great Fun and Inexpensive

With Christmas coming up, it brings back fond memories of sitting around the Christmas tree, waiting to open up the presents that my parents had picked up for me. Like a lot of kids, I was smart and resourceful — more times than not, I knew of my parents’ secret hiding places, so I knew of at least some of the toys that they were picking up for me. One year they purchased a Nintendo gaming console, and I fully admit to sleeping with an Ultimate Warrior doll until I was about ten years old. We all remember the now vintage toys and games that we used to play with, and it’s a joy that we should want to share with our own children.
